WHERE DID THE NAME TULIPMANIA COME FROM?

Tulip Mania was an actual event that occurred in the Netherlands during the mid-17th century. Tulip bulbs went from total obscurity to selling for todays equivalent of a million dollars just for a single bulb. This happened over only a few months.  The event was said to have been brought about by, Conrad Gessner, a botanist, artist, and poet. Gessner is regarded as the "inventor of the word of mouth marketing." His easy to repeat poem spread and speculation of tulip bulbs ensued. Thus, the name TulipMania Digital Marketing and Business Strategy was born!
While we firmly believe in the value of word of mouth marketing, today it looks much different; utilizing social media, websites, and online review sites to name a few.
